Master of Science, MAS, and MBA

  • Consecutive Master’s: The consecutive Master of Science in Banking & Finance is a second level of education and in terms of content builds on the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration majoring in Banking & Finance. It can be undertaken after completing a bachelor’s degree. The consecutive master's degree is offered as a cooperation between the School of Business at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and the School of Management and Law at Zurich University of Applied Sciences, and complies with Swiss legal requirements.
  • Master's degree (professional development): For further educational development there is a Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). Both degrees are equal in value. The MBA is for further study in business administration and has a generalist approach, while the MAS goes specifically into a particular topic linked to the student's professional experience.

MBA and MAS programmes require as a rule a degree from a university or a higher specialist college as well as several years of professional experience. For a consecutive master degree the study time is greater, as is the knowledge required.
